Southern Region staff poised to connect
Our Christchurch Regional Advisors have also been on the move, making them better placed to connect with South Island communities.
After being in temporary offices since the 2011 Canterbury Earthquakes the team of three recently moved into the new light and bright central city Government precinct, where they join 8 other government agencies in the BNZ Centre.
It’s great to be part of making central Christchurch come alive and busy again after the earthquakes.
Our central office is the hub for the team’s outreach to Pacific communities around the South Island.
Being seated on the same floor as other Government agencies will make it easier to collaborate by combining our skills and resources, to get quicker results for Pacific peoples.
A highlight to end the move was the first visit to our new space from a local Pacific community leader, the Samoan Community Leader Memea Bubsy Ma'aelopa.
We look forward to more of our Pacific community visiting our new space soon.
