Alert Level 2: Advice for Church Leaders
New Zealand moved to Alert Level 2 at 11.59pm on Wednesday 13 May
To keep our communities safe, there are guidelines for gatherings. This includes all religious and cultural occasions like prayers, services, celebrations, weddings, funerals, and burials. It also includes community events, celebrations, and family get-togethers.
What does life at Alert Level 2 mean for church?
1. Stay online.
If possible, please continue to host church services online
2. 10 or less rule
if you are meeting with your prayer groups, bible study groups or youth groups, please ensure there are only a maximum of 10 people present.
3. Contact trace.
If you are meeting in groups of 10 or less, please keep a record of who attended and their contact details
