Two new appointments to the Pacific Business Trust Board

Following a Cabinet appointment process, Erolia Etuati Leinatioletuitoga Rooney and Letoa Henry Jenkins have joined the Pacific Business Trust (PBT) Board. 

 

PBT is a charitable trust that supports Pacific peoples with business advisory services, training, and financial assistance. It works to strengthen Pacific economic participation, economic growth and entrepreneurship nationwide. 

 

Erolia Etuati Leinatioletuitoga Rooney brings over 20 years of experience across health, education, and community sectors while her expertise in financial oversight, strategic planning, and cultural engagement will support the Trust’s mission to empower Pacific peoples in business. She brings extensive experience in shaping social and economic policy along with skills in contract management, finance, and risk management  

 

Letoa Henry Jenkins brings extensive governance and leadership experience to the board, having chaired multiple organisations and driven initiatives that have improved services for Pacific communities, and also played a pivotal role in establishing New Zealand’s first Pacific youth onestop hub. Letoa brings financial and risk management expertise to the board, drawing on his credentials as a Chartered Accountant, and consultancy work for the World Bank 

 

Both bring strong community connections, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to Pacific development. The Ministry for Pacific Peoples looks forward to their contributions in advancing Pacific business success across New Zealand. 

 

Erolia and Letoa will both commence their terms on 9 December 2025 for three years through to 31 December 2028.
