Macawa ni Vosa VakaViti – Fijian Language Week

Celebrate: 6 - 12 October 2024

The 2024 theme for Fijian Language Week is ‘Vakamareqeta na Vosa Vakaviti - Nurture and sustain the Fijian language.’ 

This theme derives from the overarching Language Week Series theme for 2024, 'Sustainability'.

Children’s Day A day dedicated to the children, with activities organised by the Education Committee. In the evening, a Sevu ni Meke will be presented to the main committee. Kalasi Vakaviti will present gifts and participate in the Sevu ceremony. 3pm 37 Oxford St, Fairfield Fiji Society in Hamilton
Fijian Language Week Programme Children will learn to read stories of their ancestors in Fijian vernacular while also exploring their heritage, including the different confederacies and traditional costumes.
