Minister for Pacific Peoples Hon Dr Shane Reti took time out of his busy schedule recently, to visit the Pacific Business Trust (PBT), along with Secretary for Pacific Peoples Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone.
Serving as the Pacific economic development agency of Aotearoa New Zealand, PBT was established to support Pacific businesses and empower communities by providing industry-leading advice, ongoing support, and connections to service providers.
The organisation offers tailored workshops and community events where Pacific businesses can network, collaborate, share ideas, and build capability with confidence, tap into innovative solutions and learn what it takes to grow sustainably, through our customised programmes and services.
Minister Reti has an interest in economic development, in-line with the Government’s priority to rebuild the economy.
He met with PBT Chief Executive Officer Mary Los’e and Board Chairman Paul Retimanu, and the Secretary for Pacific Peoples Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone and Deputy Secretary - Commissioning Sachi Taulelei at the PBT head office in Penrose to explore the support and services PBT provides to Pacific businesses.
The Minister was warmly welcomed by the PBT team, who has over 2,000 Pacific businesses registered with it, and approximates Pacific businesses in Aotearoa earn approximately $300 million gross revenue.
Visit the PBT website to learn more about how PBT can assist your business.
