We extend an invitation to you to attend our National Zoom Fono on Cyclone Gabrielle, to be held on Wednesday 1 March at 6.00pm.
The purpose of the National Fono on Cyclone Gabrielle is to provide information to support Pacific peoples cope with the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle. The aim is to keep Pacific communities informed and increase awareness of initiatives, and services available to them.
During the talanoa, you will be hearing about financial support services, civil defence centres, health care centres, wellbeing and more. The Fono will deliver key updates from Te Whatu Ora, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and Pasifika Futures.
The Ministry will host the Fono, with opening comments from our Chief Executive, Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone. Then we will introduce panelists who will provide updates on their services. A Q&A time will be available towards the end of the Fono.
